Westinghouse Cleared To Solicit Votes On Ch. 11 Plan
Westinghouse Electric Co. LLC received approval Wednesday from a New York bankruptcy court to distribute its restructuring plan solicitation materials to creditors, keeping the distressed nuclear technology and contracting giant on track to confirm its plan by the end of March.

Toshiba To Sell Claims Against Westinghouse For $2.2B
Toshiba Corp. announced Thursday it has agreed to sell billions worth of claims it holds against Westinghouse Electric Co., its bankrupt nuclear contracting subsidiary, for close to $2.2 billion, helping set up a path for Westinghouse to confirm a reorganization plan by the end of March.

Westinghouse Gets 3-Month Extension To File Ch. 11 Plan
Westinghouse Electric Co. on Wednesday received 90 more days of exclusive time to file a Chapter 11 reorganization plan from a New York bankruptcy court judge, who blasted the company's unsecured creditors for trying to "throw a bomb" in what has so far been a productive restructuring case.
