B.C. film company fined $30K for unlawful drone use to capture killer whale footage
The federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) has issued a $30,000 fine to B.C. film company River Road Films Ltd. for capturing drone footage of northern resident killer whales (NRKWs) illegally. This is the first time the DFO has issued such a fine.
