Judge OKs $80M Ameriprise Deal Over Bad Securities
A Texas federal judge on Thursday preliminarily approved an $80 million settlement between Ameriprise Financial Inc. and classes of more than 2,000 investors who bought into the Provident Royalties LLC and Medical Capital Holdings Inc. Ponzi schemes through Ameriprise's offerings.

BNY, Wells Fargo OK'd To Intervene In $21M Ponzi Deal
The Bank of New York Mellon Corp. and Wells Fargo Bank NA on Monday won the right to intervene in Securities America Inc.'s proposed $21 million settlement related to putative class actions brought by investors over Medical Capital Holdings Inc.'s alleged Ponzi scheme.
