    The trustee of bankrupt New England Compounding Pharmacy Inc. and other parties are close to completing a proposed deal in which victims of a fatal 2012 meningitis outbreak would receive $100 million in multidistrict litigation, they told a Massachusetts federal judge on Wednesday.

    A Massachusetts federal court on Friday agreed to assert jurisdiction in multidistrict litigation over all pending federal and state court personal injury tort and wrongful death suits against New England Compounding Center arising from a nationwide meningitis outbreak that drove the company into bankruptcy.
