The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation on Thursday declined to combine two shareholder derivative actions accusing Chemed Corp. and its executives of submitting various improper and ineligible claims to Medicare and Medicaid.

The owner of Roto-Rooter and Vitas Innovative Hospice Care was hit with a shareholder derivative action Thursday claiming the company's officers and directors are responsible for the legal troubles that have engulfed the parent company since Vitas allegedly submitted improper Medicare and Medicaid claims.
