A federal judge has permanently blocked portions of a Missouri law governing federally sanctioned Affordable Care Act advisers, ruling that the provisions interfered with the ACA and were therefore preempted by it.

A Missouri federal judge on Thursday granted a preliminary injunction against a state law requiring federally sanctioned Affordable Care Act navigators to be licensed, saying the requirement would be onerous and runs counter to the act.
