HHS Wins Medicare Payment Fight Against Maine Hospital
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services was right to bar Central Maine Medical Center from amending its appeal of how much it should have been reimbursed by Medicare in 2007 because the wrong organization submitted the request, a Maine federal judge ruled Wednesday.

HHS Says Medicare Payment Fight Doesn't Belong in Court
Sylvia Burwell, secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, urged a Maine federal judge on Friday to throw out a suit accusing the department of improperly denying Medicare reimbursement payments to a Lewiston-based hospital, saying an administrative appeals board still hasn't made a final decision on the reimbursements.
