    HHS Says Medicare Payment Fight Doesn't Belong in Court

    Sylvia Burwell, secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, urged a Maine federal judge on Friday to throw out a suit accusing the department of improperly denying Medicare reimbursement payments to a Lewiston-based hospital, saying an administrative appeals board still hasn't made a final decision on the reimbursements.

    Maine Hospital Sues HHS Over ACA Residency Payments

    A Maine medical center sued the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in federal court on Friday, arguing the Affordable Care Act prohibits HHS from blocking some payments for medical residents who work in private physicians' offices and other off-site rotations.
