3rd Circ. Rejects Nuns' Religious Challenge To Pipeline
The Third Circuit on Tuesday said nuns claiming a religious objection over a gas pipeline running through their Pennsylvania property could not seek damages, affirming a lower court decision that the courts did not have jurisdiction because objections were never raised with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

The Third Circuit on Thursday appeared not to buy a group of nuns' argument that the building of a natural gas pipeline on their land merited damages, suggesting that the challenge should have been brought through the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission before construction.
