As director of associate general counsel - claims at Markel, John Casciano manages insurance coverage and bad faith litigation against Markel affiliates. Prior to joining Markel, he was a member of Steptoe & Johnson LLP's insurance and reinsurance group, where his practice largely involved high risk, high value insurance coverage and bad faith litigation.
Diana Shafter Gliedman, a shareholder at Anderson Kill PC, has helped policyholders recover hundreds of millions of dollars under property, general liability, professional liability, directors and officers liability, and employment practices liability insurance policies. She represents industry leaders and global companies in complex insurance coverage litigation, with clients in the retail, hospitality, communications and media industries.
Rani Gupta, partner at Covington & Burling LLP, represents corporate policyholders in high-stakes insurance coverage disputes and has helped recover hundreds of millions of dollars under general liability, errors and omissions, and directors and officers insurance policies.
Kelly A. Librera is a high-stakes complex commercial litigator who advises her clients on a range of matters involving insurance policy interpretation and coverage. She counsels clients on strategic issues before and at trial, and has extensive experience before state and federal courts, regulators, investigatory authorities, and arbitral tribunals.
Gina Clausen Lozier is a member of Berger Singerman's dispute resolution team and focuses her practice on first- and third-party claims and coverage analysis. Clausen Lozier is one of only four lawyers in Florida recognized in the prestigious legal publication Chambers for her work on policyholders' behalf.
Joshua L. Mallin is a partner with Weg and Myers PC in New York, representing policyholders across the country for over 30 years. Mallin has also been the author of numerous articles and has been featured as a guest speaker at a multitude of programs.
Alycen A. Moss is the co-chair of the property insurance group at Cozen O'Connor. She is an elected fellow of the American College of Coverage Counsel and member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel. She regularly speaks throughout the country and writes articles on hot topics and emerging issues.
Sean O'Brien's practice focuses on advising insurers on all aspects of catastrophic property loss claims in Iowa and throughout the Midwest. These claims have such issues as coverage, construction defects, insurance fraud, products liability and bad faith. O'Brien also provides counsel on regulatory and corporate governance matters.
Recognized as a leader in her field, Sherilyn Pastor is chair of McCarter & English's insurance coverage group. She has secured hundreds of millions of dollars in insurance assets for policyholders. She tries complex coverage matters throughout the country, and provides advice to clients negotiating insurance policies and indemnity contracts.
Michael Shifrin, a principal at Bressler Amery & Ross PC, practices within the firm's insurance and cannabis practice groups and has been selected to Superlawyer's list of rising stars. He has resolved thousands of insurance coverage disputes through pre-suit claim investigations and in litigation.
Douglas J. Steinke is a partner in Kennedys' New York office who has successfully represented reinsurers in state and federal courts. Steinke also represents reinsurers in arbitrations and counsels reinsurers regarding large-loss claim disputes around the world, risk analysis, policy drafting, and other matters.
