Judge Won't Amend A&O Fraudster's 45-Year Sentence
A Virginia federal judge on Wednesday denied a bid by A&O Resource Management Ltd. co-founder Christian M. Allmendinger to vacate or amend his 45-year prison sentence for fraud and money laundering in an insurance investment scheme, saying Allmendinger's attorney wasn't ineffective in advising him about a government plea offer because no offer was ever made.
