Some Auto Parts Claims Sent To Arbitration In Price-Fix MDL
A Michigan federal judge has tossed a number of antitrust claims against Denso Corp. and a spark-plug maker, saying Tuesday that sales agreements underlying the allegations require disputes to be dealt with in arbitration despite auto parts buyers' attempts to "gerrymander" their complaints to avoid it.

A special master in multidistrict litigation over allegedly price-fixed automotive parts on Wednesday ordered non-party manufacturers including Fiat Chrysler, General Motors Co. and Honda North America Inc. to turn over certain communications and agreement information with parts suppliers that might point to the existence of a conspiracy.

Japan's Aisan Industry Co. Ltd. on Tuesday agreed to pay more than $1.4 million to settle claims in Michigan federal court by a proposed class of automotive dealers accusing the vehicle parts manufacturer of conspiring with others to fix prices for fuel injection systems.
