Calif. Justice Doubts PG&E Can Be Liable For Blackouts
A California Supreme Court justice on Wednesday doubted a PG&E customer's argument that the utility could be liable for California Public Utilities Commission-ordered blackouts if they ultimately trace back to PG&E negligence, saying such "massive" liability "lurking in the background" could risk public safety by causing decision makers to hesitate on shut-offs.
