    5th Circ. Lets BofA, MERS Off Hook For County Deed Records

    The Fifth Circuit affirmed Friday that Harris, Dallas and Brazoria counties did not show Texas law required Bank of America Corp. and Merscorp Holdings Inc. to record deeds of trust with those counties, and that Dallas did not adequately show either misrepresentation or unjust enrichment.
