Ex-Texas Housing Official Will Appeal Bribery Sentence
A former Texas housing official, who last month was sentenced to federal prison for her role in a scam accepting more than $14,000 in bribes from Section 8 housing applicants in exchange for letting them skip the waiting list, filed notice on Friday that she would be appealing the conviction to the Fifth Circuit.

2 Ex-Texas Housing Officials Plead Guilty To Bribery Scheme
Two former Texas housing officials arrested in February for allegedly taking money in return for sweet spots in a city housing voucher program pled guilty Monday to conspiracy to commit bribery, U.S. Attorney Kenneth Magidson's office said.
