A Connecticut federal judge on Thursday granted the Los Angeles Rams' request to transfer to Missouri a real estate lender's suit alleging fans who bought season ticket purchase rights for seats at the team's prior St. Louis home were defrauded when the NFL franchise moved to California.

A real estate lender, which had owned St. Louis Rams season tickets, told a Connecticut federal court it should not send its lawsuit alleging the team misled and defrauded fans into buying personal seat licenses for the right to purchase season tickets in the runup to the team's relocation to Los Angeles, arguing a forum selection clause is contrary to public policy.

The Los Angeles Rams asked a Connecticut federal judge to send a suit brought by real estate lender RCN Capital LLC to Missouri federal court on Wednesday, where it can be handled alongside a similar, pending class action over the team's seat licenses.
