    2nd Circ. Says REIT Can't Open 'Backdoor' To Suing Advisers

    The Second Circuit on Thursday upheld the dismissal of a lawsuit brought by a real estate investment trust claiming to have lost $8 million on a poorly managed collateralized loan obligation, saying it would not open a "backdoor" to impermissible fraud litigation against investment advisers by allowing a contract dispute with the loan's management team to move forward.
