The company behind Monster.com secured the Delaware bankruptcy court's permission to hold asset auctions in its Chapter 11 case. A Texas bankruptcy judge gave Jackson Walker LLP and the U.S. Trustee's Office until Tuesday to mediate a fee dispute stemming from a former bankruptcy judge's secret relationship with an ex-firm partner. And a bankruptcy judge in Delaware approved arts and crafts retailer Joann's Chapter 11 wind-down plan.

Bankrupt trucking firm Yellow Corp. on Tuesday defeated shareholder MFN Partners' bid to convert the company's Chapter 11 case to a Chapter 7 liquidation, persuading a Delaware federal judge to give the debtor more time to work on a bankruptcy plan as legal fees in the almost two-year-old case continue to swell.

Rite Aid Corp. announced proposed deals to hand off pharmacy assets to operators including CVS and Walgreens in its Chapter 11. Defunct trucking company Yellow Corp. obtained bankruptcy court permission to sell for about $14 million. Forever 21 said it is likely to liquidate and hasn't found a buyer, then got the OK to take votes on its Chapter 11 plan.
