The April 15 payment and filing deadlines for Missouri income tax returns for individuals, C corporations and trusts or estates have been extended to July 15, the department said Saturday. The tax relief also applies to estimated tax payments for tax year 2020 that are due April 15, the department said.
The extensions match the federal government's extended deadlines for filing and paying income taxes, the department said.
Missouri has joined a host of states that have extended their tax return deadlines as COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus, has swept across the nation. As of Sunday, Missouri had 106 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with three deaths attributable to the virus, according to the state Department of Health and Senior Services.
