Tennessee is extending the filing and payment deadlines for its business tax from April 15 to June 15 in response to the novel coronavirus pandemic, the state's Department of Revenue announced Monday.

Interest and late filing penalties won't be applied to returns filed and taxes paid before the extended due date, a department notice said. The extension applies only to state and local business tax returns and payments due on April 15, 2020, it said.
