Businessman Says DC Circ. Sanctioned Unfair Tax Treatment
A Hawaii entrepreneur with a history of tax trouble asked the D.C. Circuit on Monday to reconsider a recent decision, which found that the Internal Revenue Service didn't abuse its discretion by refusing to discuss his settlement offer in person, saying the ruling sanctions the unequal treatment of Hawaiian citizens.

IRS Didn't Have To Accept Settlement Offer, DC Circ. Says
A Hawaii entrepreneur with a history of tax trouble had his appeal shut down by a panel of the D.C. Circuit on Friday, with the court saying the Internal Revenue Service didn't abuse its discretion simply by rejecting his settlement offer and refusing to meet face-to-face.
