Trump Resorts Tells 3rd Circ. Axing CBA Was Legal
Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc. told a Third Circuit panel Wednesday that its decision to dump the collective bargaining agreement with roughly 1,000 Taj Mahal employees was supported by bankruptcy law, and the union's position on appeal would yield a "downright absurd" result never intended under the Bankruptcy Code.

A Delaware bankruptcy judge said Wednesday that he would approve both Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc.'s Chapter 11 plan disclosure statement and $20 million in debtor-in-possession financing from lender companies controlled by Carl Icahn, but cautioned the debtor may have a "tough time" when the case is up for confirmation.
