2nd Circ. Scraps IRS Summons Targeting Offshore Toy Profits
The Second Circuit on Monday tossed an order compelling toy importer Steven Greenfield to divulge details of family offshore bank accounts to the IRS in a noted tax enforcement proceeding, saying the government failed to show how such a request didn't violate Fifth Amendment protections against self-incrimination.
