2nd Circ. Won't Revive Wells Fargo RMBS Tax Fight
The Second Circuit on Thursday declined to revive a whistleblower suit by a former Wells Fargo Bank NA subprime loan officer who claimed the lender knowingly churned out fraudulent residential mortgage-backed securities and dodged local taxes, saying the suit failed to show the bank's ineligibility for tax exemption.
