IRS Immune To Defunct Firm's Collection Suit, Judge Says
A New Jersey federal judge on Monday chucked a defunct law firm's suit accusing the Internal Revenue Service and Treasury Department of unlawfully trying to collect on a tax liability during the firm's bankruptcy proceeding, saying the agencies are immune from the claims and cannot be sued.
