10th Circ. Nixes Ordered Property Sale In $12M Tax Dispute
The Tenth Circuit overturned an order Thursday requiring a company to sell two pieces of Utah real estate to satisfy $12 million in unpaid federal taxes from a man who the IRS claimed was the alter ego of the company, ruling that the trial court didn't allow the company adequate time to contest the government's alter ego claims.
