    Judge Blocks Miss. Law Protecting Gay Marriage Objectors

    A Mississippi federal judge on Thursday preliminarily blocked a state law providing protection to those who say their religious beliefs are violated by same-sex marriage, declaring that the law violates the Fourteenth Amendment's equal protection clause by protecting some religious beliefs to the detriment of others.
