IRS Can Fine Entertainment Center Owners, Gov't Says
The U.S. asked a New Mexico federal judge on Thursday to grant summary judgment denying refunds of tax penalties on the owners of a family entertainment center, arguing the IRS was not restricted from imposing the penalties because the parties did not enter into a settlement agreement when they resolved the taxpayers' income tax liabilities.
