Pot Biz Tells 10th Circ. IRS Can't Force Self-Incrimination
Holders of a Colorado marijuana business have urged the 10th Circuit to reverse a U.S. Tax Court finding that disallowed deductions, saying the conclusion that the taxpayers carried the burden of proof to show they did not commit unlawful drug trafficking violated their Fifth Amendment rights.
