    Woman Tells 6th Circ. Gov't Failed To Specify Tax Reg Violations

    A federal court should have tossed third-party summonses from the government seeking a woman's financial records because the U.S. failed to specify how she violated regulations governing abusive tax schemes, she told the Sixth Circuit recently.

    A court order upholding an IRS summons for a woman's financial records should be vacated because she was never accused of a crime, owes no taxes and is not being investigated or audited, the woman has told the Sixth Circuit.
