Texan Can't Get Tax Breaks For Suing Ex-Wife, 5th Circ. Affirms
A Texas man cannot claim tax deductions for costs incurred suing his ex-wife over money she owed him, including those of credit card debt and a Manhattan apartment, the Fifth Circuit said, largely affirming a U.S. Tax Court opinion.
