A Michigan federal judge on Monday tossed a whistleblower's False Claims Act suit accusing BAE Systems Inc. of selling vehicles with defective braking systems to the U.S. military, finding that the plaintiff's lack of knowledge of the government's conditions of payment dealt a fatal blow to the complaint.

BAE Systems Inc. asked a Michigan federal judge on Friday to toss a False Claims Act suit brought by an employee relator who alleges BAE sold vehicles with defective braking systems to the U.S. military, saying the relator did not identify any particular false claims BAE allegedly made.
