CORRECTED: DirecTV Techs Say They Proved Employee Status In FLSA Suit

DirecTV technicians on Tuesday shot back against a management company's bid to shake their putative wage class action on the grounds they were independent contractors, telling a New Jersey federal judge that, despite the label, they were really employees protected by the Fair Labor Standards Act. Correction: The original version of this article incorrectly stated that DirecTV filed the motion to dismiss. The error has been corrected.
