    A Texas federal judge has shut down a former Aptys Solutions LLC managing member's bid to disqualify Chamberlain Hrdlicka White Williams & Aughtry from representing the software company in a $1.6 million fraud suit, rejecting the defendant's contention that the plaintiffs' counsel had represented him before he was sued.

    Former Aptys Solutions LLC Treasurer Scott Harris again asked a Texas federal court Thursday to disqualify Chamberlain Hrdlicka White Williams & Aughtry from serving as the software company's counsel in a suit over payroll tax liabilities, saying he was never warned certain conversations would not be privileged.

    Ex-Software Co. Exec Seeks To DQ Atty In Tax Fraud Suit

    A former Aptys Solutions LLC executive on Friday urged a Texas federal judge to disqualify the software company's counsel in a suit over an alleged fraud that left Aptys on the hook for $1.6 million in unpaid payroll taxes, saying the firm, Chamberlain Hrdlicka White Williams & Aughtry, had represented him before he was targeted in the suit.
