The Third Circuit on Friday allowed consumer advocacy group Public Citizen Inc. to throw its support behind ex-National Football League players challenging the recently approved uncapped settlement in Pennsylvania multidistrict litigation against the league over the long-term effects of concussions and repeated head hits.
