A Kansas City, Missouri, anesthesiology clinic told the Eighth Circuit on Tuesday that a whistleblower's estate's appeal of a False Claims Act suit over Medicare billings failed because it relied on "outdated regulatory language" that was never binding during the relevant period.

A whistleblower's estate called Wednesday for the Eighth Circuit to revive his allegations that a Kansas City anesthesiologist clinic billed for medical services that were never performed, saying the lower court incorrectly interpreted Medicare regulations to drop the case.
