    NLRB Must Explain Vegas Show Decision, DC Circ. Says

    The D.C. Circuit asked the National Labor Relations Board on Friday to clarify how it reached a decision that a Las Vegas show production company illegally fired a dancer because she complained about working conditions and not for performance issues, saying the board may not have considered evidence that ran contrary to its conclusion.

    NLRB Defends Vegas Show Retaliation Finding To DC Circ.

    The National Labor Relations Board urged a D.C. Circuit panel Thursday to uphold its finding that a Las Vegas show production company unlawfully retaliated against a dancer for engaging in protected speech by refusing to renew her contract, saying the company failed to adequately support its claim that a bad attitude and poor performance cost the dancer her job.

    Vegas Shows Say Dancer Let Go For Attitude, Not Activity

    A Las Vegas show production company on Monday asked the D.C. Circuit to reverse a National Labor Relations Board’s finding that a former dancer for the company was unlawfully discharged after participating in protected activity at a meeting to discuss working conditions, asking the court to reinstate an administrative law judge’s earlier decision finding the opposite.
