An Indiana federal jury sided with Purdue University in a lawsuit filed by a white assistant professor who said she was denied tenure in the school's nuclear engineering department because she isn't an Asian man.

An Indiana federal judge said Purdue University can't avoid a suit claiming it denied tenure to a white assistant professor because of her sex and race, finding she provided enough evidence to suggest a tenure committee member tainted the decision with bias against women and people who are not Asian.
