United Parcel Service Inc. will pay $150,000 to resolve a U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission suit alleging the company refused to let a worker take breaks to manage his diabetes and subsequently fired him, the federal bias watchdog announced Friday.

A Florida federal judge has handed a win to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in its suit accusing UPS of refusing to accommodate a worker with diabetes and subsequently firing him, holding the company liable for disability discrimination.
