Gregorys Coffee will shell out $200,000 to about 200 baristas to end a class action suit claiming the coffee chain failed to pay them for overtime and off-the-clock work they performed, after a New York federal judge approved the deal.

The Second Circuit is hearing arguments Friday in a bid from a cleaning services company to reverse a district court's decision to lift a stay in proceedings for one workers' misclassification claims. The worker, Quincy Reeves, alleged Coverall North America misclassified him as an independent contractor and owed him wages under Connecticut law.
