A grocery chain agreed to pay $50,000 to resolve a U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission suit accusing the company of ignoring female workers who said they were sexually harassed by male customers, according to a filing in Alabama federal court.

Three companies, including Walmart, violated federal law by failing to prevent sexual harassment on the job, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said in separate suits filed this week in Alabama and Florida federal courts.
