The University of Montana doesn't have to face a suit claiming it fired the head coach of its women's basketball team because of her sex, a federal judge ruled Tuesday, finding that low morale among players, not discrimination, was what prompted her termination.

A former University of Montana head women’s basketball coach’s sex discrimination lawsuit won’t have to head to arbitration, a federal judge ruled this week, saying the coach did not knowingly agree to arbitrate job bias claims as a part of signing an employment agreement.
