The Second Circuit has rejected a bid by the managing partner of a Massachusetts firm to delay having to pay $312,000 pending an appeal after he was slapped with sanctions by a district court judge for "highly questionable practices" in brain injury litigation filed against World Wrestling Entertainment Inc.

World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. is urging the Second Circuit to deny a Massachusetts attorney's bid to delay having to pay $312,000 in sanctions as he mounts an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, saying the request is based on "a diatribe of unhinged insults and grievances."
