A staffing firm and the New York City Health and Hospitals Corp. called on a New York federal judge to ship a pair of nurses' claims for unpaid overtime to arbitration, telling the court that the workers signed binding arbitration agreements.

The Second Circuit is hearing arguments Friday in a bid from a cleaning services company to reverse a district court's decision to lift a stay in proceedings for one workers' misclassification claims. The worker, Quincy Reeves, alleged Coverall North America misclassified him as an independent contractor and owed him wages under Connecticut law.
