Packaging giant WestRock has agreed to settle a former employee's suit claiming she was mistreated and fired for complaining that women were faulted far more often than men under its absenteeism policy, according to a Tuesday order dismissing the suit.

An Ohio federal judge left intact the majority of a WestRock worker's sex bias and retaliation suit alleging she was faulted for complaining that its absenteeism punishment policies were sexist, ruling Wednesday that she put forward enough detail showing she was singled out for her complaints.
