A Colorado federal judge paused discovery Monday in United Parcel Service drivers' proposed class action alleging the shipping company failed to provide them sick leave after both parties requested the pause until the judge rules on UPS' bids to dismiss or send it to arbitration.

A UPS driver told a Colorado federal judge that the shipping company can't force into arbitration a proposed class action claiming it failed to provide sick leave, saying federal arbitration requirements don't apply because he engaged in interstate commerce.
