A California federal judge denied Tuesday software company Proofpoint's attorney fee request for scoring a $14 million trade secret theft verdict against an ex-executive and a rival that hired him, finding that the evidence supporting the jury's willful misappropriation finding is minimal "at best" and not enough to warrant fees.
