Fraud Juror Impartial Despite Al Qaeda Fears, 11th Circ. Says
The Eleventh Circuit on Wednesday upheld the sentencing and conviction of an Arab immigrant involved in a scheme to file fraudulent tax returns with stolen identities, rejecting his argument that he didn't receive a fair trial because of a juror who raised fears that the case "reeks of al Qaeda."
