Fed. Circ. Reverses $3M Scanner Technologies Fees

By Jocelyn Allison ( June 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has vacated $3. 4 million in attorneys' fees and costs a lower court awarded to Belgium-based ICOS Vision Systems NV in a patent dispute brought by rival Scanner Technologies Corp. , reversing part of the ruling that found Scanner had engaged in inequitable conduct but upholding the invalidity and noninfringement of the patents at issue. . . .
