By Matthew Kolodziej ( April 10, 2018, 4:22 PM EDT) -- Certain local jurisdictions in California are pushing back at so-called "sanctuary" laws passed by the Golden State that aim to limit local law enforcement cooperation with federal immigration enforcement actions. In the name of law and order and public safety, certain conservative-leaning localities are considering joining the Trump administration lawsuit challenging three Golden State laws that limit local law enforcement's ability to cooperate with federal immigration officials. These laws, SB 54, AB 103 and AB 450, limit information sharing about when immigrants are released from jail, prevent transfers of immigrants to federal authorities without a warrant, require state attorney general review of immigrant detention facilities, require employers to notify employees of federal immigration inspections, and prevent them from allowing federal agents access to nonpublic work areas without a warrant....
