By Benjamin Horney ( May 22, 2018, 3:51 PM EDT) -- Several Chinese companies have interest in buying U.S. electronics distributor Ingram Micro Inc., which is owned by HNA Group Co. Ltd., according to a Tuesday report from Reuters. China Huarong Asset Management Co. Ltd. is among those that have expressed interest, according to the report. No other suitors were identified. HNA, which paid $6 billion for Ingram Micro a few years ago, has been listening to interested parties for at least the last few months, the report said. Huarong had hoped to pay less than $6 billion, the report noted, but those talks ended because of concerns that a deal might not pass U.S. regulatory muster. An HNA spokeswoman was quoted in the report as saying that the company has "no plans or intention to sell Ingram."...
